A serial killer prowls the streets of Baltimore, stalking young women and sending them to an early grave, left to suffocate in pine boxes they can’t possibly claw their way out of.  Poe knows without a shadow of a doubt that this is one of her ancestor Edgar Allan Poe’s horror stories coming to life and terrorizing the city, but that knowledge alone isn’t enough to stop The Undertaker.  Poe isn’t one to give up without a fight, though, especially not now when she has more to lose than ever and when she is becoming more powerful in her own right.  From journeying deep into the Otherworld in search of answers to taking on a serial killer and a far more ghostly enemy at the edge of an open grave, Poe is willing to do anything to stop the curse and protect the people she cares about.  But when all seems hopeless and a new and traumatic loss cripples the tragic heroine and those close to her, can she keep fighting and dig herself out of a grave?  Or will she let the curse bury her?
